These Lucky Charms Treat S’mores are more delightful than a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Whip up a batch of rainbow-sprinkled, marshmallow-packed treats and share the sweet magic with your luckiest friends.

Not long ago I dreamed about a sugary cereal I hadn’t tasted in decades: Lucky Charms. In the dream I was making treat bars, but instead of Rice Krispies the pan was filled with Lucky Charms. I woke up still craving them and decided to recreate that marshmallowy nostalgia in my kitchen.

Lucky Charms S’mores: triple the marshmallow madness
Since Lucky Charms cereal already brims with marshmallow bits, I decided to double down and turn the cereal treats into Lucky Charms S’mores. Yes, it’s a sugary indulgence, but sometimes a little over-the-top sweetness is worth it.

If you want to use a smaller quantity of cereal or marshmallows, halve the recipe below. The full batch yields 48 squares, or 24 s’mores — plenty to share.
Yield: 24 Lucky Charms Treat S’mores
This makes a large batch because I wanted to use the entire box of Lucky Charms and a full bag of mini marshmallows in one go. Halve the amounts if you prefer a smaller batch.
As easy as Rice Krispie Treats
Making Lucky Charms Treats follows the same simple steps as classic Rice Krispie Treats. If you only want the bars (and not the s’mores), follow the basic three steps below.
- Melt butter and mini marshmallows together in a large pot, stirring until smooth.
- Toss the Lucky Charms into the melted marshmallow mixture and stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Press the mixture into a prepared baking sheet in an even layer and let it cool and set.

How to turn the bars into Lucky Charms S’mores
After the bars have set, a few extra steps transform them into festive s’mores. The white chocolate layer and toasted marshmallow create a gooey, colorful treat perfect for gatherings.
- Melt white chocolate bars over a double boiler and pour the melted chocolate over the set Lucky Charms Treats while still in the pan. Smooth it with an offset spatula and allow the chocolate to set for 1–2 hours.
- Lift the sheet from the pan and cut into 2″ squares.
- Toast a large marshmallow over a kitchen torch, gas stovetop, or campfire. Sandwich the toasted marshmallow between two squares with the white chocolate sides facing inward — the marshmallow will soften the chocolate slightly, like a classic s’more.
- Repeat with the remaining squares and marshmallows, then enjoy with friends.
