Wow — that lithotripsy really took it out of me. The procedure itself was painless thanks to an excellent anesthesiologist who carefully selected a medication that would both put me under and remain safe while breastfeeding. Still, when the doctor warned I might feel wiped out afterward, he wasn’t kidding. I was completely out of it for the rest of the day, even without taking pain medication. I also felt nauseous, couldn’t eat, was lightheaded, had a low-grade fever, and was generally miserable. The good news is I’m feeling much better today, and this should finally mark the end of my recurring kidney infections. Fingers crossed.
And now for a change of subject.
Most of the time, Little Evan is the sweetest, most loving big brother. He’s incredibly gentle with Caroline, and watching them together melts my heart every time. Lately, though, I think he’s realizing she might be here to stay, and it’s left him a little… unsettled.
Caroline: No biggie, I’m just sitting in this chair like a big girl.
Evan: Hey, that’s my chair. I’m not sure I totally approve of this situation.
OMG MOST TRAGIC THING EVARRRRRR!!!!
Caroline has clearly already mastered the side-eye
P.S. Little Evan’s shirt says “Plays well with others.”
