Good morning, friends! How is it already Tuesday? Yesterday slipped away from me — some days there just aren’t enough hours, right?
It’s July, yet today feels like October: crisp, cool, and breezy here in DC. What a refreshing change.
My friend Ashley and I enjoyed a morning run date. My 6:30 a.m. alarm felt far too early, but the cool, fresh air made the effort worthwhile. Even on slow mornings, a run with good company boosts the mood.
Many others had the same idea this morning, as you can see. We covered about 4.5 miles at roughly a nine-minute-per-mile pace. Thanks for the great company, Ashley!
Last night I treated myself to an easy dinner at Sweetgreen after a lovely evening class at Edge Yoga with my friend Karen. I avoid grocery shopping while starving because it always leads to impulse buys, so grabbing dinner beforehand felt like the smarter move. I had a big salad with shrimp, feta, chickpeas, and a variety of veggies — simple and delicious.
Now I’m back to work with my furry assistant by my side.
Wishing you a wonderful day — stay tuned for a fun new recipe post tomorrow!
Who else got a run in this morning while enjoying the cooler temps?
