This Family Favorite Cheese Ball is the perfect appetizer for any holiday occasion. So simple to make and absolutely delicious! My family loves this cheese ball!
I’m back after taking some time off. I had planned a short break after my 12 Days of Sugar series, but life threw a few unexpected curveballs and my plans changed.
We’ve been feeling extremely grateful at our house. Last Thursday morning my husband was on a bike ride and was struck by a bus. Remarkably, he avoided life-threatening injuries. He sustained stitches to the forehead, a concussion, road rash, and a dislocated and severely fractured thumb that required surgery. The surgeon said his helmet likely saved his life. We are thankful beyond words for the people who witnessed the accident, called 911 and stayed until help arrived, and for the excellent medical care he received. This experience has been a strong reminder that life is a gift.
My heart overflows with gratitude—for Rich being okay, for our family and friends who have offered love and support, for the bystanders who acted quickly, and for the medical team who treated him. Thank you for letting me share that. Now, back to food.
After twelve straight days of sweets, I thought you might appreciate something less sweet and equally crowd-pleasing. This cheese ball is a staple in my family—I’ve never known a holiday without it. It’s simple, flavorful and perfect for holiday gatherings or any get-together. My grandmother always made it, and since she passed away my oldest brother David has taken over preparing it. He makes it really well.
This cheese ball is easy to make and works for holidays, parties, or just because. Honestly, you don’t need a special occasion to enjoy a cheese ball—make one anytime!

Description
This Family Favorite Cheese Ball is the perfect appetizer for any holiday occasion. So simple to make and absolutely delicious! My family loves this cheese ball!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 jar (5 oz) Kraft Blue Cheese)
- 2 jars (6 oz) Kraft Pimento cheese)
- 12 oz softened cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 1/2 tsp Accent
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl combine blue cheese, pimento cheese, cream cheese, grated onion, Accent, half of the chopped pecans and half of the parsley. Using an electric or hand mixer, beat on medium speed until well combined.
- Line a small bowl with a large piece of plastic wrap so the wrap hangs over the sides. Spoon the cheese mixture into the bowl, then pull the plastic wrap up over the top to cover. Chill for several hours to firm up.
- On a sheet of wax paper or in a shallow dish, combine the remaining pecans and parsley. Remove the cheese ball from the bowl and plastic wrap, then roll it in the pecan-parsley mixture until evenly coated.
- Transfer the coated cheese ball to a plate and refrigerate, loosely covered with plastic wrap, until ready to serve.
- Serve with your favorite crackers.
Notes
If you’re not a big fan of blue cheese, you can use half the jar. I usually add the whole jar because I love it, but adjust to taste.
